Family escapes early morning Henderson fire

Firefighters say accidental blaze caused $150,000 in damage

An early morning house fire in Henderson has displaced a family of six, but all of them escaped without injuries, according to the Henderson Fire Department. At 2:07 a.m. today, Henderson firefighters were called to a residence at 131 Beech Ave., near Lake Mead Drive and Warm Springs Road, said Jeff Lytle of the Henderson Fire Department. As firefighters arrived, flames and smoke poured from a side door, windows and from the roof vents of the single-story, single-family home, Lytle said. The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes. All of the residents were home at the time of the fire.
